(An Umbrella Research Centre for Conducting Ph.D. & UGC/ICSSR/ICHR/ICPR Sponsored Research Promoting Wing of Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira)

On the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a Research Centre named “Swami Vivekananda Centre for Multidisciplinary Research in Educational Studies” has been set up in the name of Swami Vivekananda to pay tribute to this Prophet of Humanity. This research centre would serve as a research wing of our College. The aforesaid Research Centre is duly recognized by the University of Calcutta (Vide Letter No. 965/UCAC/CU, dated 07.03.2014).

Objectives

• The aforesaid research centre has come into effect upon the fulfilment of the conditions to be laid down by the Calcutta University, Provisions of the University Act, Statute, Ordinances and regulation in force and to be amended from time to time.
• Besides conducting M.Phil./ Ph.D. courses the centre would engage its scholars and supervisors in various Minor and Major projects to be sponsored by the UGC, ICSSR, ICHR, ICPR and such other sponsoring research centres.
• Besides M.Phil./ Ph.D. courses and various sponsored projects the Centre would engage eminent scholars from education and other disciplines to undertake independent research endeavours having endowed with the potential of original flavour in Education enabling the centre to be a multidisciplinary centre.
• The centre would take initiatives to bring out worth publishing research works by eminent scholars.
• The centre would engage itself in various extension activities and consultancy services also.
