Ramakrishna Mission Sikshanamandira, ushers deep pride in us all, who are and were ever associated with it in different capacities which we consider, indeed, a rare favour from the Lord. Over the times, the institution has become identical and inseparable with our existence. It is our daydream – it is our nightmare; it is something beyond mere profession – it is our passion.  

Our visionary ancestors ventured to establish this institution with the, broader, aim to give shape to Swami Vivekananda's ideas of education and, specially, to actualize Swamiji’s dream about teacher education. India, in the past, contributed a lot to the world in the spheres of both Metaphysical and Material Sciences (Vidyas). Today we boast for our own pedagogies whose geyser can be traced back in those contributions. Modern world is analytical about experiences gathered throughout the past centuries and is engaged in search of new perspectives for its future sustenance. Can we not take part in the search and contribute, like our ancestors, something palpably positive to the world? Was it not Swamiji’s dream also? Did he not say, “Education is the panacea of all social evils?”

Here we want to see Sikshanamandira play a big role. The college is growing from strength to strength in leaps and bounds - quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Apart from being a College of Teacher Education it is now a Research Centre. We are resolute to bring forth innovation and promote high quality researches in the field of Education not only ‘for our own good’ but ‘for the good of the world’ also. Other than fostering academic excellence, our aim here is to ensure a holistic growth in every student - to help him become a complete man - a man who can direct his excellence towards the upliftment of the society at large.

I heartily pray to the Lord for all those who support to realize this aim of us.
